The TactFleece™ Hybrid Shell isn't your average fleece. It's engineered for people who move — and don't stop when the weather turns.
The hybrid construction pairs a breathable cotton-poly body with high-abrasion polyester sleeves — comfort where you wear it most, durability where it takes the hit. Six purpose-built pockets keep your gear exactly where you need it: two hand zips, two quick-access bicep zips, and two forearm utility pockets with loop pass-throughs for tools, pens, or clips. Shoulder zip vents and underarm mesh dump heat when you're pushing hard. Velcro cuffs lock your fit and block wind at the wrist. Reinforced elbow slots are insert-ready when the terrain demands it.
DWR-coated at 5000mm HH, it handles light rain and drizzle without slowing you down. Not a hardshell — but built for real conditions, not just the forecast. Single-layer construction keeps it at ~380g so you'll forget you're wearing it, until you need it.
We built TactWild because we couldn't find gear that moved with you without looking like a sleeping bag or a tech vest. So we made it — functional where it counts, clean everywhere else.

Is the TactFleece™ waterproof?
Not fully waterproof — and we'll be straight with you about that. The DWR coating handles light rain, drizzle, and splashes well. For heavy downpours, layer it under a hardshell. Think of it as your go-to piece for 80% of weather, 100% of the time.
What's the difference between the body and sleeve fabric?
The body is 65% polyester / 35% cotton — softer, breathable, comfortable against skin during long wear. The sleeves are 100% polyester — more abrasion-resistant for when you're pushing through brush, carrying a pack, or working with your hands. Each zone does a different job.
How does the sizing run?
True to size with an athletic tapered cut — it's built to move with you, not hang off you. If you plan to layer a hoodie underneath or prefer a relaxed fit, size up. Check the size chart for exact chest and sleeve measurements before ordering.
What are the forearm loop pass-throughs for?
They're sewn-in sleeve loops designed for hands-free carry — slide a pen, marker, torch, or small tool through and it stays put without a pocket. It's a small detail that makes a real difference when your hands are full.
Can I use it for everyday wear or is it strictly outdoor gear?
Both. The TactFleece™ was designed with that crossover in mind — functional enough for the trail or worksite, clean enough for the city. The Wolf Grey and Asphalt colorways especially work well as a daily driver.
What are the elbow slots for — do they come with pads?
The reinforced elbow slots are insert-ready — they're built to accept standard elbow pad inserts if you need extra protection for technical work, rough terrain, or extended field use. The fleece ships without pads, so you wear it as-is or add your own.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, hang dry. Skip the tumble dryer — heat degrades the DWR coating over time. If water stops beading off after several washes, a short low-heat tumble (10 minutes) can reactivate the coating.
